At today's lecture, Tadej introduced us to the wonderful world of LiDAR scanning, with various apps — the one we used in the end was Scanniverse. We took various 3D scans, including this one of the EMS space we were all in:
This room features more later... We next went outside to take scans of people. I asked Anne and Peter to stand as still as possible while I scanned them, which was relatively successful! Then, using the built-in augmented reality feature, I managed to get this shots of Anne and Peter stood in front of 3D Anne and Peter.

Aside from the scanned versions being a little bit too high up, this is quite an eerie thing to see, and certainly has an 'uncanny' feeling about it.
I imported these models into Cinema 4D, alongside the room scan from earlier, and put 3D Anne and Peter into the 3D EMS. I then went on Sketchfab to look at free models I could use and ended up with what can only be accurately described as a masterpiece:
I added a Sun & Sky rig, rotated it s the shadows (mostly cast by the incomplete scanning of the ceiling/roof) weren't too obstructing, and then rendered it.
